Step 1
Call and verify insurance coverage with your insurance company. What you need to ask:
1: Does my plan cover cranial prosthesis?
2: What is my coverage amount?
3: Is there an annual maximum?
4: Do I need prior authorization?
5: What documentation is required to file a claim?
6: What is the out-of-network coverage for a cranial prosthesis?

Step 3
Book your in person or virtual consultation with me. All wig, topper or mesh integration purchases qualify for insurance support.
During your consultation, you will pay deposit for your custom system and balance will be do at final fitting.
Obtain a Prescription from you doctor: Ask physician to include diagnosis, treatment and that you require a cranial prosthesis.
Wording may vary, but it is important that cranial prosthesis is used in place of wig, topper or mesh integration.
Step 4
I will handle the paperwork with you. During you consultation I will;

Complete necessary insurance forms

Provide required documentation

And you'll be ready to submit directly to your insurance provider
Step 5
Insurance review period
Most insurance providers take anywhere from 6-10 weeks but may delay a little longer, to process claims.
Timelines vary by providers.
Step 6
Receive your reimbursement check.
If approved, your insurance company will mail you a reimbursement check for the amount or percentage of the coverage amount they previously stated. (you received this information on step 1)
